Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Policy Analyst to join our team. The Policy Analyst will analyze new or proposed policy, standards of procedures and guidance to determine impacts on the client’s program operations and management. The Policy Analyst will make appropriate recommendations relating to the implementation of such proposed and assist the Policy Team Lead with development and enhancements of policies, SOPs and guidance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Moderate experience in determining if policies align with objectives.
  • Exceptional ability to determine policy oversights and omissions.
  • Advanced ability to recommend new policies or amendments and prepare draft versions.
  • Basic knowledge of conventions and standards in policy writing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and skilled in oral and written communications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Determine if policies are aligned with stated goals and objectives.
  • Consult with internal and potentially external stakeholders to ensure inclusion of relevant factors.
  • Identify benefits, disadvantages, and omissions in existing policy frameworks.
  • Ensure policies and policy amendments meet legal, DOD, MHS requirements.
  • Report on findings and proposing new policies or amendments to existing policies.
  • Draft new policies or amendments to policies and submitting proposals for review.
  • Edit and enhance policy updates from subject matter experts.
