Our client is located in Houston and is looking for a Sr. Instructional Designer to add to their team. This is a 4-6 month contract role. Must be located in the greater Houston area and open to traveling 10-20%. Must have 5+ years of Corporate Training experience.


Responsibilities:

  • ISD experience focused on adult education
  • Help with video production
  • Experience creating course content from instruction materials, student materials, presentations, etc.
  • Both in-house and online audiences capability
  • Get computer based training content for internal processes, someone who speaks their language
  • Researching and defining learning objectives: Working with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create personas to help guide the learning experience
  • Designing learning materials: Developing courses, curriculums, student guides, and training manuals
  • Creating visual, audio, and interactive learning tools: Using multimedia tools to enhance the learning process
  • Redesigning content: Ensuring content matches the needs of the learner
  • Assessing learning needs: Analyzing existing instructional materials and testing the effectiveness of designs
  • Overseeing implementation: Training educators and students to use online learning systems and troubleshooting technical problems
  • Maintaining currency: Staying up to date in the field of online learning
