Audubon is currently seeking a Smart P ID Designer, Senior to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Smart P ID Designer, Senior will be coordinating, checking and drafting assignments associated with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams using SPPID and AutoCAD.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare/maintain complete P ID packages which may include, but not be limited to, preliminary, conceptual, and detail design deliverables.
  • Implement revisions and change management per company standards and direction from engineering.
  • Maintain/Coordinate Bluebeam sessions for redline markups and change management.
  • Clarify instructions with drafters and engineers when drawing markups or verbal instructions are unclear.
  • Willingness to instruct others to improve the quality of the P ID packages.
  • Maintain a continued awareness of task schedule and budget.
  • Check drafted drawings for consistency, completeness and accuracy from provided markups and approved legends/specs including within the database.
  • Continually look for product improvements and cost reductions.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
  • Should have a good understanding of PFD/UFDs and P IDs
  • Intergraph Smart P ID experience of 10+ years required.
  • Should have experience with data publishing/retrieving from SPPID.
  • AutoCAD software experience required.
  • Microsoft Office software experience preferred
  • Medium/Large project lead experience preferred
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems
  • Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements
  • Ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
