POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Field Operations will be responsible for overseeing all field operations related to Battery Energy Storage Systems projects. This leadership role requires extensive construction experience, including at least two years specifically within BESS. The successful candidate will manage project teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive operational efficiency to achieve project goals.


What You’ll Do:


Leadership and Management:

• Lead and manage field operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

• Assists the executive team in the development and formulation of long- and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives related to BESS along with other projects assigned.

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

• Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost among various business areas.


Project Planning and Execution:

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of BESS field operations.

• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality

standards.

• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Initiate and coordinate other major projects as assigned.

Safety and Compliance:

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and

company policies.

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Ensure that all field operations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of

workmanship.

• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and

quality standards.

Resource Management:

• Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.

• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and

cost-effective project delivery.


Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress, costs, and risks.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and

safety records.


What You’ll Bring:

Required Education and Experience


Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management, Engineering, Business, or field

experience in lieu of degree.


Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with a proven track record of managing

large-scale projects.

• At least 2 years of experience specifically within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing employees.


Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
