Role Summary/Purpose:


The Aviation Training Specialist will assess learning needs to design and deliver effective training solutions. They will stay updated on training and development research, including learning theory, motivation theory, methods, and techniques, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented programs. This role involves collaborating with site quality, engineering, and operations teams to provide frameworks for employee development within the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess learning needs and design effective training solutions.
  • Deliver New Hire Orientation / Onboarding Training.
  • Deliver and support site-wide training initiatives.
  • Use data to measure the effectiveness of training solutions.
  • Consult and work closely with educational institutions to develop career training frameworks for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Lead the development of training plans and frameworks, such as OJT training curriculum blueprints and training trackers.
  • Align learning strategy with business strategic workforce planning and development.
  • Conduct annual training needs analysis and ensure training is implemented.
  • Apply knowledge of best practices and integrate with other areas.
  • Use judgment to propose solutions for complex issues beyond set parameters.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues.
  • Lead projects as needed.
  • Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a trainer.
  • Experience with ADP HR systems and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for managing and delivering training programs.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute training programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Training experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using ADP for HR management and LMS for delivering and tracking training programs.
