We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure Network Security team and play a key role in securing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting multi-cloud environments- specifically Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and a deep understanding of CI/CD processes within version control systems like Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub. In this role, you will manage cloud-native network access controls, automate security processes, and contribute to a robust security posture for our cloud environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Network Security Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage hierarchical perimeter security controls in Azure Firewall, Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Google Cloud Firewall.
  • Configure and maintain network access control lists (ACLs) and security rules for cloud resources.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy cloud security configurations using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Automate security tasks and processes to ensure scalable and repeatable configurations.
  • CI/CD Pipelines:
  • Utilize Azure DevOps and GitHub for code repository management, version control, and CI/CD pipeline creation.
  • Implement and maintain pipelines for automated security updates and deployment processes.
  • Scripting and Automation:
  • Write scripts to automate cloud security tasks using Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, gcloud CLI, and bash.
  • Develop scripts for on-demand data retrieval, security audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Security Training and Communication:
  • Clearly communicate complex security protocols and procedures to team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support for cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to security best practices.
  • Incident Management:
  • Participate in 24/7 off-hours incident triage support as needed.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve security incidents and mitigate threats.
  • Security Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues within cloud environments.
  • Generate and present security reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Background/Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong background in both Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and AWS.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting perimeter security controls in Azure Firewall, Azure NSGs, and Google Cloud Firewall in enterprise-level environments.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible, for automating security tasks and managing ACLs.
  • Strong experience using Azure DevOps and GitHub for version control and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in scripting and automating security processes using Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, gcloud CLI, and bash.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts and train team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to participate in 24/7 off-hours incident triage support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or similar certifications.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer or similar certifications.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience with Kubernetes security in AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and GKS (Google Kubernetes Engine).
  • Experience with Prisma Cloud Workload Protection, including deploying and managing Twistlock agents, and conducting threat and vulnerability scanning.
