We are partnering with our client in Schaumburg, IL to find a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join their growing team. This role requires a strong HR Generalist who can effectively support and enhance the company's HR functions. The position is based in the office, working Monday to Friday during business hours.


Position Responsibilities:

  • HR Business Partner: Act as an HR business partner to leaders throughout the organization, providing guidance and support.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, direct, and develop the local core HR team.
  • Managerial Coaching: Coach, counsel, and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Employee Engagement: Provide a visible HR presence where employees work to enable real-time engagement and solutions, with travel to sites as needed (up to 25%).
  • Culture Development: Contribute to developing a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • HR Processes: Aid in creating and supporting the delivery of key HR processes, including performance support, employee movement, and leadership coaching.
  • HR Transformation: Support the continuous transformation of HR through process development, implementation, best practice, and automation improvements.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the employee relations lead, handling various employee-related matters.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Assist with the merger and acquisition process for employee integration.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations, including annual poster requirements.
  • Performance Management: Help administer the performance management and disciplinary action process.
  • Data Management: Provide data for internal audits, legal matters, and various payroll, benefits, or other HR programs.
  • Research and Projects: Assist the HR management team with research projects and special projects.
  • Correspondence: Assist with or prepare HR-related correspondence.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience.
  • Prior people management experience with direct reports.
  • Previous HR experience working with employment law.
  • Comprehensive knowledge as a true HR Generalist.
  • Project management experience.
  • Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Sensitivity to both corporate and field needs, employee goodwill, and overall business requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
