Our client, a reputable boutique law firm in Burlington County, NJ, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their collaborative team. This position will assist experienced Attorneys across a variety of cases, involving commercial litigation, real estate, employment, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in commercial litigation and the New Jersey litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the progress of pre-litigation and litigation matters.
- Manage calendars, including court dates and meeting deadlines.
- Draft correspondence to clients and opposing parties.
- Assist attorneys in New Jersey litigation.
- Engage with clients.
- Compose legal documents including motions, complaints, and discovery.
- Maintain and organize records, files, and databases.
- Case management.
- Possess knowledge of local court rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Paralegal experience.
- Paralegal Certification or Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies (preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree).
- Must be familiar with NJ litigation process and e-filing.
- Understanding of local court rules and procedures essential for the job.
- Knowledge of Insurance Defense, Consumer Fraud, or Commercial Litigation is a plus.
- Capable of forming and preparing legal documents.
- Profound familiarity with legal terms and regulations.
- Ability to conduct research and investigations.
- Excellent time management.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Initiative and follow-through skills are a must.
