What you will do

The Regional EHS Manager will be based out of our Plano headquarters for Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. (ADTI) facilities. They will lead all EHS programs and activities across the Ruskin and ESM Business Units. This role will also be a key transformation coach in our EHS Strategy and Strategic Action Plans by ensuring the execution and sustaining of the EHS Management Systems which includes compliance with applicable regulations, the AD Operations Management System Principles, and our Safety Culture Vision.


How you will do it

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and ADTI EHS management systems.
  • Possess knowledge and skills of Lean Manufacturing & Safety Kaizens, to lead the way to EHS Zero Harm campaign. Build continuous improvement and kaizen schedule for the sites based upon EHS risk profiling.
  • Support the Safety Culture transformation across all Plants including the EHS Playbook & Scorecard activities.
  • Evaluate and analyzes key performance indicators to determine trends and the need for modifications or development of EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Leverage technology and forward thinking while leading safety improvement projects.
  • Lead and drive execution of the EHS Strategic Action Plans for the ASC & Filters Business Unit.
  • Measures and audits the effectiveness of EHS hazard control programs.
  • Leads the ongoing development and maintenance of regulatory compliance programs (EPA, OSHA, DOT, DHS, DEA, and others). As well as state and local requirements globally across the ASC & Filters Business Unit.
  • Review and ensure implementation of all permits and reporting requirements for all facilities.
  • Take the lead on coordinating sites utilization on the EHS database for site level compliance calendars, tasks, permit management, etc.
  • Regularly audit the EHS database to ensure EHS and Sustainability data is being entered. Trend and track key data to identify outliers, mistakes and prevent non-compliances.
  • Support the activities associated with the EHS Risk Accountability & Mapping Program (RAMP) across the ASC & Filters Business Unit.
  • Provide support and input for internal/external EHS audits and collaborate with site level EHS contacts ensure that findings are appropriately remediated. Assists with root cause analysis and formulation & implementation of corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Support the creating and rolling out training and knowledge share opportunities for EHS at the site level.
  • Liaise with other department heads to ensure that all business operations are in line with the EHS policies.
  • Performs EHS layered audits and ensures that Gemba and layered audit actions are tracked to closure.
  • Participates in the investigation of safety related incidents and cooperates in the preparation of materials and evidence for the company’s use in hearings, lawsuits, and regulatory agency investigations.


What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Environmental Management, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of EHS experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management and project planning experience.
  • Experience with risk management and assessment.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.
  • High-level of leadership skills, as well as interpersonal characteristics reflecting uncompromising integrity, results orientation, a collaborative style, a commitment to talent development, and a highly positive attitude.
  • Strong technical skills and experience in OSHA and EPA Programs.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, accurate, analytical and act with a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork oriented.
  • Strong business perspective that includes the ability to work with all levels of the company, including site personnel as well as senior management, including a strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals, respond to inquiries, and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Ability to foster solid relationships within the facility while achieving key operating objectives as it relates to environmental, health and safety.


Preferred:

Working knowledge and experience with SafeStart, STOP or other behavior-based safety program.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification.

Working knowledge and experience with LEAN manufacturing / Six Sigma techniques.
