Job Title: EHS Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to join our team at The ERM International Group Limited. As an EHS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the semiconductor industry with their environmental, health, and safety (EHS) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide EHS program coordination, consultation, and coaching during start-up and site ramp activities.
  • Engage with client EHS for EHS requirements and program alignment.
  • Understand customer EHS requirements and country/local EHS regulations and communicate any impact to client site operations.
  • Perform and document daily inspections to assess site safety conditions, compliance with EHS program requirements, and compliance with customer EHS requirements.
  • Track and audit completion of Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Safety Walk Around Audits (SWAs), Customer Support Safety Requirements (CSSR), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits, on a weekly basis.
  • Perform ergonomic and lifting evaluations in support of non-office ergonomic risk reduction.
  • Support the investigation, correction, and closure of any non-conformances or open items.
  • Support Safety Statement/Risk Assessment report, as required by local regulations.
  • Notify client EHS and Ramp Manager of any audit finds or other items requiring corrective action on a daily basis.
  • Track and prepare weekly reports of inspections, findings, audits, and evaluations.
  • Track and prepare weekly reports of EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support incident reporting and the completion of investigations and corrective actions.
  • Track and prepare weekly summaries of incident and hazard reports.
  • Prepare and present safety updates monthly at All Hands Meetings: KPIs, incident and hazard report status, Good Catches, lessons learned, key client EHS programs, customer EHS requirements, etc.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports, per site requirements.
  • Support site Safety Champion program development and implementation.
  • Prepare and present site safety orientation sessions, at frequencies established for project.
  • Drive and support toolbox safety meetings implementation and activity.
  • Review personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and provide recommendations in case of noncompliance.
  • Support safety champions in selecting and sourcing PPE and other safety supplies.
  • Support Safety stand-down sessions, as needed.
  • Attend and represent client site safety at Customer safety meetings.
  • Share Customer EHS updates and audits with client EHS and onsite staff.
  • Provide EHS reports and metrics to Customer, as required.
  • Participate in Customer safety audits, as required.
  • Report any site safety concerns to Customer EHS and work with Customer EHS to track corrective actions.
  • As required, coordinate any pandemic requirements and information.
  • Complete other EHS activities as assigned.
  • Any non-EHS activities must be agreed to by client EHS and site manager.
  • Provide on-call holiday support based on project need.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in EHS Field, or Bachelor's degree in any field. In lieu of degree requirement, key personnel may meet one of the following requirements:
  • Equivalent education and experience attained during Military Service. This experience may be counted toward the EHS experience requirement below.
  • A minimum of one year of professional-level EHS or Safety experience in a Semiconductor Fab environment. This experience may be counted toward the EHS experience requirement below.
  • At least three years of EHS or other safety-related experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry, including experience in key program areas:
  • Developing Safety plans, Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout), Crane, Hoist and Lifting Safety, Electrical Safety, Ergonomics, Fall Protection and Work at Elevated Heights, Hazard Communication and Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Job Hazard Assessments and Hierarchy of Controls, Noise and Hearing Conservation, Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Audits and Coaching, and Respiratory Protection.
  • Identify hazards and assess risk.
  • Select and evaluate controls.
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Assess ergonomic hazards.
  • Research and interpret regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present EHS reports, findings, and metrics.
  • This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
