Vice President of Sales – Heavy Equipment

Location: Houston, TX (Heavy Travel Required – Up to 50%)

Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Sales with extensive experience in the commercial and/or industrial sectors, ideally within construction, heavy equipment, or oil & gas industries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, adept at managing large sales teams, driving process improvements, and developing solutions to enhance overall sales performance. This is a high-impact role with significant travel required, offering a lucrative opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage large sales teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline sales operations, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that foster business growth and market expansion within the commercial, construction, heavy equipment, and oil & gas sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee sales forecasts, budget planning, and performance metrics to ensure revenue targets are consistently achieved.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Manage extensive travel to engage with clients, attend industry events, and support field teams.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development for sales team members, ensuring the team remains motivated and high performing.

Qualifications:

  • 10-20+ years of sales experience, with at least 8-10 years in sales management or executive leadership roles.
  • Strong background in the commercial and/or industrial sectors, preferably in construction, heavy equipment, or oil & gas industries.
  • Proven ability to lead large sales teams and deliver exceptional results in a competitive marketplace.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
