Overview
The Senior Content Marketing Writer plays a key contributor role on our Content Marketing team. This role is responsible for developing content marketing initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive engagement, awareness, leads, customer acquisition and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude for understanding how things are put together to produce an exceptional product. Additionally, the candidate should be an expert in B2B manufacturing or industrial industry, including depth of experience in content marketing and channel optimization, brand messaging, narratives and storytelling, and customer experience.
The Senior Content Marketing Writer collaborates with writers and subject matter experts to extract and communicate how unique product innovations impact our everyday lives, produce compelling content for multiple mediums, and engage with a variety of audience personas.
Your Responsibilities
· Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in tone of voice; optimized for personas and buyer journey touch points for all channels of content
· Mapping out short- and long-term content strategies that support and extend marketing initiatives and determine which methods work for the brand, and why
· Producing, editing, and delivering content that’s compelling, easy to understand, on-brand, leverages SEO best practices and is backed by data and research
· Author content to support advertising campaigns as well as long-form copy such as white papers, blogs, and other content types
· Understanding how key content assets are foundational to the overall content strategy
· Developing multi-channel content calendars defining the owners and contributors
· Employing best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
· Evolving standards, systems, workflow and best practices for content creation, content distribution, content maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies
· Leveraging market data to develop content themes/topics that support a point of view for target personas
Your Required Education and Professional Experience
· Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related Communications field
· Passion and enthusiasm for writing, content marketing, and branding
· Developing content marketing programs for B2B manufacturing brands that are optimized to drive revenue and MROI
· Minimum of 5+ years of experience in multi-channel content creation (agency, publishing, journalism, etc.)
· Experience creating compelling messages for different target personas
· Enthusiasm for collaborating with teams of creative and content contributors to achieve client goals and objectives
