What You’ll Do:

  • Review, revise, and draft press releases, advisories, statements, and other media materials
  • Work in parallel with internal and external teams to deliver on marketing plan goals
  • Work with Media and Community Relations Manager to develop and refine measurement strategies for public relations campaigns
  • Help develop comprehensive public relations plans based on business goals and objectives
  • Perform research to support communications and messaging
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams, which include media contacts
  • Monitor client coverage on a proactive basis
  • Manage client public relations subcommittees
  • Assist with crisis communications as needed
  • Assist in the development of ideas into realistic campaign plans
  • Draft and/or rewrite in English and Spanish, as needed
  • Attend and cover events, take photos and videos to be used on the client’s website and social media, and pitch to local media
  • Network and create relationships with local reporters
  • Work with the agency resources, such as creative design and video production, as needed


About You:

  • You understand the media information landscape
  • You understand media needs and relationships and are knowledgeable of about social media
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of public relations experience in an agency, non-profit, or corporate environment
  • You are must be proficient in both English and Spanish oral and written communications
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You are a highly organized self-starter
  • You have demonstrated abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment
  • You have a proven track record in delivering measured results through managing and executing public relations programs
  • You are comfortable presenting both virtually and in person
  • You are proficient in MS Office
