We are seeking an experienced RF Optimization Engineer with at least 10 years of relevant experience and a BSEE/BSCS degree (or equivalent experience). Candidates must have recent experience in radio network design, implementation, and tuning/optimization.


Key Requirements:

  • Leadership experience on 10+ projects, including 2 large-scale projects (major metropolitan or statewide) where you led all technical activities. This includes technical oversight, team communication, and coordination with project managers and customers.
  • Experience with 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA (License Assisted Access), 4G LTE, IoT, CBRS, and multi-vendor environments.
  • Proficient in Layer 3 messaging for both 4G and 5G.
  • Ability to perform event analysis and address issues related to accessibility, retainability, and handover (HO) success rates.
  • Extensive experience with planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll; a strong understanding of link budgets, and the ability to optimize tilt/azimuth, propose new site locations, and create projects within these tools.
  • Experience with ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) tools.
  • Proven ability to recommend network design improvements, optimize cell plans, and perform Monte Carlo analysis.
  • Skilled in drive data collection, performance analysis, and solving complex network issues using optimization tools like TEMS Investigation, Actix, Agilent, and R&S.
  • In-depth knowledge of how to optimize loaded networks and differentiate between artificial and real traffic loading.
  • Competence in optimizing RAN features based on traffic analysis and adjusting parameters to improve system performance.
  • Strong understanding of IRAT procedures, ENM, and optimization tools.
  • Ability to enhance uplink tuning and optimize both handovers and network capacity.
  • Detailed knowledge of KPIs and how to improve them through performance tuning.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing project and customer expectations.
  • Experience coordinating with various departments and identifying customer requirements to develop actionable plans.


This role requires the ability to work autonomously, while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
