Senior Lead Network Engineer

Job Summary
Contact Government Services is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Network Engineer to join a team focused on the evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of a large-scale network project.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance the current network infrastructure
- Design and implement a network infrastructure that encompasses wireless, wired, and software network requirements
- Consult on hardware and software necessary for the new infrastructure
- Interface with state and local governmental personnel, internal stakeholders, and vendors
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation
- Review current best practices and provide recommendations for network architecture and design
- Administer the Cloudpath onboarding process and troubleshoot wireless network health
- Assess the network infrastructure and make recommendations for improvement and optimization
- Define and conduct testing procedures for new infrastructure projects
- Implement technology solutions within the NPS network environment
- Provide design guidance on network solutions and informal training to NPS resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with end users and technical staff
- CWNA and BCNE certifications or equivalent
- Experience with RF site survey tools, layer 2 switching, and layer 3 routing protocols
- Strong knowledge of network security and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of LINUX, MS Server 2013, and VMware
- At least 3 years of experience with disaster recovery plan creation and implementation
