Job Summary
The Onboarding Specialist supports the Human Resources team in executing an effective people plan. This position supports every new employee at the facility, ensuring the comprehensive administration of human resources policy and procedures. The position performs a variety of functional core human resources areas including employee experience, HRIS system administration, on-boarding, employee engagement, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding: Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Utilizes multiple systems of record and applications (HRIS, Background Check Vendors, State Sites, I-9, etc.) to document the initiation and progress of a new hire throughout the onboarding process throughout their full clearance.
- Assists in the implementation of new or revised pre-employment processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to support the organizational objectives.
- Culture Consigliore: As a member of the People team, you are part of the heartbeat of the company; you will assist in how to scale and enhance our culture as it relates to employee engagement and becoming a best place to work in the cannabis industry.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 1+ year(s) of HR experience (Preferably related to pre-employment or onboarding).
- An ability to solve problems without a manual.
- Exceedingly self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
