District Sales Manager – Houston, Texas

What You’ll Be Doing


As a District Sales Manager, you’ll be the linchpin for connecting top-tier products with key players across multiple industries. Here's a snapshot of your day-to-day:


  • Be the Expert: Master the ins and outs of our client’s product portfolio and confidently showcase their value to customers.
  • Engineer Connections: Build relationships with engineering firms, OEMs, contractors, and end-users in Houston and surrounding areas. Deliver compelling product presentations and aim for specification wins.
  • Strategize for Success: Craft and implement sales strategies for diverse customer segments in your territory.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Review market trends and sales data to fine-tune campaigns and meet business goals.
  • Grow Partnerships: Foster distributor relationships through training, goal setting, and ongoing support.
  • Stay in the Loop: Share insights on competitor activity and evolving market needs to keep the organization ahead of the curve.
  • Field Work & Events: Represent our client at tradeshows and industry events, and conduct regular visits with customers and distributors to secure new opportunities.


What You’ll Need to Succeed


  • A proven track record in outside sales (5+ years), especially within construction-related industries like water treatment, aquatics, mining, or PVF (pipe, valve, and fittings).
  • A positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to forge strong connections with engineers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Stellar organizational and communication skills, paired with a mechanical aptitude to engage a diverse customer base.
  • Experience in sales budget management and achieving targets.
  • The ability to thrive independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel (50–70%) throughout the Houston region and beyond.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
