Compensation: Up to $175k plus bonus opportunity
Schedule: Full-time - 1st shift hours
Purpose:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing both the operational and financial aspects of plant activities, including maintenance. This position requires the creation and implementation of plant policies and procedures, setting and meeting production targets, and cultivating a motivated and skilled workforce. Additionally, the Plant Manager will focus on enhancing operational quality and efficiency through system development and will oversee staff supervision, recruitment, training, and employee development in line with company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Supervision: Direct day-to-day plant operations in line with company policies and regulatory standards, prioritizing cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and uphold ISO 14001 standards, prioritizing environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Health and Safety Management: Uphold adherence to safety standards and fulfill Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Logistics Oversight: Take charge of coordinating logistics for both inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery processes.
- Financial Oversight: Lead financial management efforts by overseeing both cost and capital projects, meticulously reviewing financial allocations and methodologies to optimize resource utilization.
- Engineering Guidance: Provide strategic guidance on equipment enhancements, capital projects, and future planning endeavors, leveraging expertise to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
- Policy Establishment: Establish and enforce robust plant policies and procedures to maintain operational consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Production Target Achievement: Drive the attainment of plant production targets through strategic planning, resource allocation, and process optimization initiatives.
- Employee Development: Promote the professional development of staff members by creating a supportive and empowering work environment, overseeing the selection and training of supervisory and administrative personnel.
- Efficiency Enhancement: Conduct thorough process analyses to identify areas for improvement, develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, and implement these solutions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting and Performance Evaluation: Direct staff in the preparation of comprehensive reports, offer valuable career development guidance to employees, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure accountability and foster professional growth.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles, Process Engineering, and Capital Projects.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Production and Processing: Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Management Principles: Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination.
- Engineering Application: Practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Software Proficiency: MS Suite and ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards.
