A dynamic real estate company located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago is seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to oversee and lead our real estate portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing property acquisitions, lease negotiations, tenant relations, and property maintenance. Your focus will be on optimizing property performance and value through strategic planning, market analysis, and financial management. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinating with legal and other internal teams, as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property and real estate management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the Senior Property Manger:

  • Create and implement a strategic management plan for assigned properties to meet investor return targets while adhering to company goals and legal requirements
  • Analyze market conditions and real estate trends to guide business strategies
  • Collaborate with internal or external leasing teams to devise leasing strategies for each property
  • Implement tenant coordination processes, covering tenant finish standards, pricing presentations, risk management, and other related aspects to ensure smooth tenant onboarding and operations
  • Continuously assess operating costs by reviewing property performance against budgets
  • Review monthly operating reports, manage expense reconciliations, and oversee completion of owner reports to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with major tenants and outside vendors and contractors to foster positive partnerships and quality service
  • Monitor tenant requests for services and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Oversee direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, set goals and objectives, and provide feedback to encourage professional development and maintain a high-performing team
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess property conditions, meet with tenants and vendors, and coordinate base building inspections for systems like HVAC and fire safety


Requirements of the Senior Property Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Commercial property management experience required
  • Staff management experience preferred
  • Yardi and MRI experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Proficient in modeling investments with Excel or Argus
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Client and tenant management experience
  • Real Estate License desired but not required
