Position Summary

The Homemakers E-Commerce Team is responsible for the creation, growth, and optimization of the Homemakers digital experience. We strive to guide the customer's journey from discovery to the point of purchase, and nurture current customers with customized and tailored experiences. We are looking for someone to join us as we continue to lead in the creation of a cohesive brand experience across various customer touchpoints



As the Director of E-Commerce, you will work with the E-Commerce team and Executive team to optimize and improve the customer experience from acquisition to purchase through our digital channels. This position will manage the E-Commerce team and will be responsible for developing and executing the ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth, enhance customer experience, and increase brand loyalty. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in ecommerce management, digital marketing, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing and scaling online retail operations within the furniture industry or a related field.



Essential Position Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the overall ecommerce strategy, including site merchandising, online marketing, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of ecommerce platforms, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and sales conversion rates.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, customer service, and logistics to ensure a seamless and efficient online shopping experience,
  • Analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the ecommerce budget, including setting sales targets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Buying team to ensure the online catalog is current, accurately represented, and optimized for sales.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay ahead of the market and identify innovative ecommerce solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements for online transactions and privacy laws.
  • Recruit talent for the E-Commerce team to help drive growth and succession.
  • Identify, prioritize, and articulate initiatives that can deliver the highest impact.
  • Strategize with the Marketing Director to align overall marketing strategies and brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Manage third-party vendors and negotiate all relevant contracts.


Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field
  • 10+ years ecommerce experience
  • 3-5 years management experience
  • Knowledge of the furniture industry preferred
