Job Description:
- You will be supporting the Grid Planning Tool team, focused on Transmission and on the Chilean grid, and working closely with our Power Systems Specialist in Chile and one of the major grid operators in that country.
- You’ll be working with both the external partners in Chile as well as the internal engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner support (remotely) for CEN with Senior Power Systems Specialist.
- Partnering with Product & Engineering for meeting partner milestones.
- Partnering with UX and Testing teams for feedback & partner support.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in power systems work.
- Experience working with simulation software such as power flow, dynamic simulation, and electromagnetic transient programs (e.g. PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP, PSCAD, CYME, etc.)
- Familiarity with hardware and processor architectures.
- Knowledge of Chilean grid operations.
- Experience in electrical simulation including system modelling, numerical methods, solver choices, performance optimization, or solution analysis.
- Experience with electrical circuit modelling, control systems, power electronics, switching converters and inverters, or electric machine models.
- Knowledge of numerical methods such as nonlinear/linear differential equations, differentiation, and integration, solving systems of equations, time discretization and simulation.
- Are a skilled and efficient programmer in scientific programming languages (e.g, Matlab, Python, JAX, C++, Julia, etc.) with a desire to expand into new areas of coding languages and processes.

- Bilingual expertise (Spanish/ Chilean)
Education:
- Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering, Power Systems or related technical field.
