Job Summary
The Business Analyst I acts as a liaison to technology staff and operational areas in the implementation of strategic initiatives. The Business Analyst I analyzes business needs, gathers and documents requirements, and facilitates technical solution development and implementation. This position also coordinates with operational areas to identify and implement business process changes in support of strategy. The Business Analyst I also assists in monitoring project progress, publishing status reports, and ensuring that project tasks are performed timely per the documented project plan.
Job-Specific Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent experience in a related field.
Must have at least 1 year of experience in requirements analysis or business analysis.
Proven experience in facilitating development and testing with technical staff and end users is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Access, Word, Excel and Visio is required.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills are required.
Experience in analyzing and creating business processes and work flows is preferred.
Experience in project management is preferred.
