Credit Analyst

Ergon, Inc in Flowood currently has an opening for a Credit Analyst in the Credit Department.

As a Credit Analyst this position is responsible for determining the creditworthiness of customers and prospective customers of various Ergon companies.

Credit Analyst Job Duties:

• Interpret financial statements and determine the credit worthiness of customers and prospective customers across various Ergon companies.
• Read and understand balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to evaluate financial health.
• Manage individual accounts, including collections, account activity reporting, and inter-departmental communication.
• Engage in professional and tactful verbal and written communications with customers, including those in Latin America.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on accounting activities.
• Work closely with the Department's Manager and other team members to ensure accurate credit assessments and decisions.

Credit Analyst Job Requirements:

• A background in business, finance, or accounting is required
• A college degree in one of the above related fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, is required
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully in both verbal and written formats
• Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish) are strongly preferred to facilitate communication with Latin American customers
• Ability to work independently, manage own accounts, and make informed credit decisions
• Prior experience in a credit analyst role or similar financial analysis position is a plus
