Job Description:

As the HR Manager, you will be the sole HR professional supporting a dynamic team. You will oversee all aspects of HR functions including payroll, compliance, onboarding, and employee relations. The role requires a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Management:
  • Process and verify weekly payroll for 430 employees using Paychex.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and overtime.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  1. HR Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR practices and employee files to ensure compliance.
  1. Onboarding & Employee Relations:
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Develop and implement employee retention strategies and programs.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support.
  1. HR Administration:
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare and manage HR reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and assist with related inquiries.
  1. Travel:
  • Travel locally (approximately 25% of the time) to visit various restaurant locations for meetings, training, and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with Paychex or similar payroll systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
