Vehicle Test Engineer

Role Summary:
In this role you will work in collaboration with hardware, software and attribute engineering to help guide the development process by identifying, triaging and tracking issues during the vehicle development and launch cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly absorb technical issue documentation to come up to speed on program status, be comfortable referencing and matching reported issues to known problems
- Interact with multiple driver and operations teams across multiple sites to review daily test driver and engineering reports in JIRA
- Triage reported issues for status and severity, generate and escalate follow-on issue documentation when appropriate.
- Ensure issue reports have sufficient information for diagnosis and prioritization, including severity, customer impact, reproducibility, ownership, etc.
- Flag issues for review based on severity using engineering judgement, escalate directly to program management when appropriate.
- Identify trends for issues on a per component and a per release basis, ensure tracking KPIs and dashboards are updated based on issue categorization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience in Vehicle or System-level development processes
- Experienced with defect management and working with cross-functional teams in a Product / Feature development environment
- Experienced with management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work with ambiguity and be self-motivated
- Systems engineering experience in relation to electric vehicle hardware/software development/integration is a plus
