Project/Domain Overview:

  • Client is implementing a new logistics planning and booking system that integrates with SAP and 3PL software.
  • The initiative is to optimize transportation and logistics management, improve supply chain efficiency, reliability of shipping and logistics providers, optimize costs.
  • The solution will be integration with SAP using Webmethods EAI integration.
  • This will be implemented globally in a phased manner. The project requires collaboration with 3rd party TMS providers, ERP team and functional business teams.

Outline of key responsibilities & deliverables:

  • Develop integrated program schedule, work with various stakeholders from across business functions, IT groups, solution partner in creating an integrated project schedule, during planning phase establish schedule, resource needs and drive detail planning workshops.
  • During development/build, test and deployment phase drive all aspects of project management for successful delivery.
  • Conduct daily/weekly workgroup meetings to move progressively.
  • Disseminate status reports, conduct various governance review meetings.
  • Perform all traditional PM Activities.
  • Might be involved in managing more than 1 IT projects. Requires strong governance, communication, planning and integration management skills. Must be strategic with attention to detail, ability to drive various teams towards achieving project goals.

Experience and Skills:

  • Strong IT project manager with knowledge of Supply Chain management, Logistics and transportation management, Broad understanding of SAP, Pharmaceutical supply chain exposure, Strong leadership, presentation skills, attention to detail.
  • Must have experience in managing projects where 3rd party systems have interface and EDI with SAP ERP or other major ERP systems.
  • Pharma supply chain experience preferred.
  • Must have strong project management experience in implementing IT and Digital capabilities in supply chain and logistics management.
  • Experience in enterprise data lake, EAI tools will be preferred. PMP certification is must.

5+ years of experience with the following:
