Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
  • Configure and manage network equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions to resolve network problems promptly.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against unauthorized access.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across the network.
  • Manage network resources, such as IP addresses, domain names, and network services.
  • Monitor network performance and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data transmission and minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users regarding network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve escalated network problems in a timely manner.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Plan and execute network-related projects, such as network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
  • Ensure that network projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach to IT support.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CISSP) are a plus.
  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to perform system maintenance or address critical issues.
  • The IT Network Administrator will be expected to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network infrastructure and security.
  • Ability to lift heavy infrastructure equipment up to 50Lbs.
