Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager will manage and coordinate the activities of our Engineering Department, which includes design, testing, and creating innovative solutions. This role involves overseeing a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineers, assigning tasks and projects, monitoring performance, hiring and training staff, developing SOPs and design standards, and managing the engineering budget.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Ensure engineering projects are executed cost-effectively

·      Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

·      Develop and uphold design standards

·      Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met

·      Establish and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure team success

·      Recruit, train, and supervise engineering staff

·      Support Sales, Applications, Service, and Production teams as needed

·      Conduct Research and Development (R&D) to enhance existing products and develop new products

·      Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment


Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

·      Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

·      At least 3 years of experience in engineering management

·      Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

·      Strong communication and organizational skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·      Minimum of 5 years of experience with CAD software; SolidWorks preferred

·      Ability to conceptualize in 3D and apply critical and creative thinking to design solutions


Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience in the material handling industry

·      Proven track record of managing successful engineering projects
