Operations Manager - Building Facade Manufacturer - Base Salary to 185k/year - Allegan, MI
- Our client has been in business for over 20 years, specializing in composite cladding for the building industry. Based on the building block of its decades old reputation for providing the highest engineering capabilities, quality material and design, and installation that is unparalleled in the industry.
- Currently they are seeking an Operations Manager (internally titled Construction General Manager) who will be responsible for overall operations, company culture and profitability. The Operations Manager will provide strong leadership and be focused on company growth through industry leading products, quality and service.
Responsibilties:
- Manage manufacturing operations
- Manage service/installation operations
- Maintain industry leading quality and service levels
- Hire/train/retain staff
- Drive positive culture fostering employee growth
- Build and maintain relationships with all major accounts
- Serve as the face of the organization to internal and external Architects and General Contractors.
- Identify emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
- Maintain sales forecast and pipeline
- Knowledgeable of Commercial Construction principles and processes.
- Working knowledge of Commercial construction documentation, able to read plans and specifications and translating them into estimates.
- Strong job costing and pricing background
- Experience in Take offs, price build ups and estimating software
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Knowledgeable of negotiated bids, hard bids
- Track key metrics for operational and financial performance
- Drive continuous improvement culture for margin improvements
Qualifications:
- 10 + years’ experience in Commercial construction management
- Bachelor’s degree (or work equivalent) for Construction Science, Glass and Glazing, Metal Panel or related field
- Proficiency with reading Commercial construction plans, specifications, and vendor product data information preferred
- Familiarity with Commercial construction project delivery methods and practices preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel thorough out Michigan to jobsites
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 150k – 185k/year range
