ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Reporting Manager will focus on analyzing healthcare financial data and building reports that provide insights into the operational and financial health of the business. This is a very technical, hands-on and data-driven position that will lead a small team of Data Analysts and Report Developers. This person will also work closely with Business Users, Billing, Finance and Database and Application team members. The optimal candidate has background in financial data analysis and reporting related to healthcare claims management with experience managing small teams.


  • Gather and Document business and functional requirements and specifications
  • Take ownership of quality and consistency across all reports and metrics, and help consolidate
  • Analyze data, build database tables, stored procedures and reports to deliver requested information
  • Lead a small team of data analysts/report developers and manage deliverables
  • Work closely with Database & Application Team, and other stakeholders to coordinate on projects
  • Work with business owners to define priorities, plan, develop, test and deploy
  • Help define key metrics that would provide more insight and gain approval for development
  • Identify gaps and issues between different data elements in the pipeline/process and resolve them
  • Automate and streamline delivery of reports and alerts
  • Document reports, definitions, and tasks due, escalate issues and communicate progress
  • Collaborate with the team and other developers to help establish standard practices
  • Work across different business units to identify data dependencies and set up necessary controls


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years analyzing data and writing queries/stored procedures in SQL Server
  • 3+ years building reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • 1+ years building reports in Excel
  • 2+ years managing a team of data analysts or developers
  • Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data
  • Strong ability to analyze data and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Takes initiative and can manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management data (highly desired)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • Experience working with in a fast-paced environment
