This position reports to the responsible Regional Sales Manager. Working closely with the Account Executive, the PDM (Program Development Manager) is responsible for input in developing and then executing the sales, marketing, and clinical training strategies and tactics to support the Gynesonics operating objectives for their assigned territory. The PDM will work closely with the Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager, the VP of U.S. Sales, and in cooperation with all functional areas to help rapidly develop the company into a successful commercial/clinical-driven organization. The PDM will be responsible for all activities and initiatives to drive procedure volume growth with current physicians as well as target, train, and onboard new physicians and accounts where needed.


Primary Responsibilities:


Working closely with the Account Executive and Regional Sales Manager - Establish the clinical and commercial viability of the Sonata System in treating uterine fibroids.

  • Driving utilization with existing customers and supporting the closing of new targets utilizing the impressive long term clinical outcomes and healthcare economic advantages of Transcervical Fibroid Ablation (TFA) using the Sonata System to achieve the commercial objectives for your assigned territory.
  • Work closely with the Director of Global Marketing to plan and execute market development activities to grow the utilization of Sonata in all assigned accounts. These activities should comprise of ~25% of the PDM’s day-to-day scope of work and will include patient education events, peer-to-peer educational programs, patient awareness and community awareness programs, physician referral campaigns, programs to support the growth of Sonata utilization in a physician practice, OBGYN residency program education, and other activities as assigned by the Regional Manager, with the direction and support of the Director of Global Marketing.
  • Coordinate physician training programs – and consistently reinforce with customers the critical safety and efficacy considerations in performing the Sonata procedure.
  • Communicate with the physicians to encourage optimal patient selection considerations.
  • Collaborate with all key staff members (MA’s, RN’s, NP’s, PA’s, office managers, billing and coding personnel, etc.) within the physician’s practice to ensure everyone understands and supports the process of identifying and submitting patients
  • Attend Sonata procedures and ensure facility staff is trained and supported through the learning process
  • Identify and support the development of KOLs to support the company’s market development objectives.
  • Work closely with the commercial leadership to identify new methods and materials to help accelerate commercial success.
  • Exhibit professionalism through appearance and ethical conduct with a positive attitude
  • Be able to travel extensively and at short notice as required
  • Provide timely feedback to management on all critical activities
  • Anticipate evolving conditions and needs, help identify and implement strategies and tactics to meet challenges and achieve Gynesonics operating objectives
  • Accept additional projects as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager
  • Travel requirements may exceed 3 nights per week on average. Expect 60% travel required to be successful in this position.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS/BA in technical, scientific, or business-related field preferred


Experience:

  • Track record of achievement in medical device sales (2+ years preferred)
  • Experience in startup/early stage environment is preferred
  • Direct experience in launching disruptive technology is preferred
  • Experience in GYN device market is preferred

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationship (including handling conflict) skills are must-haves
