The Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing sales with existing customers and prospecting for new customers. B2B sales experience required.
Critical Job Functions
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine proper application of Pate products.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical information and pricing for customer proposals.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales assistance to customers during and after the quotation process.
- Maintain good customer relations and communication. Provide reliable and prompt communications to and from all customers.
Other Job Functions
- Prepare sketches and drawings showing our products and customer application.
- Follow-up on all leads and inquiries from potential new customers.
- Maintain and update customer contact information.
- Track, control and report personal travel and entertainment expenses.
- Prepares sales reports and keep management informed of trends.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Five or more years of construction industry sales experience.
- Solid customer relationship skills.
- Demonstrated experience with blueprint reading.
- Ability to manage multiple projects as the same time.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Experience working with CRM software.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Compensation
- Base salary plus quarterly incentive
