Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the direction of survey technicians, staff surveyors, project surveyors, and/or field surveyors. The successful candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision while reviewing work done by others, preparing, scheduling, and maintaining a budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a daily basis

Qualification Requirements:

6-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid driver's license, Licensed Land Surveyor

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and technical written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary
  • Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework
  • Ability to supervise the work of field and/or office surveyors
  • Knowledge of industry-related software
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office (if applicable)
  • Must be fluent in the English language
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
