General Summary:

As the Marketing & Customer Relations Programs Manager, this individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing customer service initiatives and communicating with the community via social media and a monthly newsletter.  Reporting directly to the Marketing and Customer Relations Manager, the professional in this role will have the opportunity to be a part of special event planning of the Authority including networking events and Run on the Runway. This professional works closely with several departments within the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority as well as marketing consultants and vendors. This position requires a professional who has a passion for excellence, a creative and innovative mindset, desire to provide the best possible customer experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and/or coordinate with marketing consultants on content and design of social media including planning social media calendar and introducing new social media outlets/content.
  • Manage the monitoring and/or monitor of social media to provide timely responses to questions and/or comments posted to the Airport Authority’s social media accounts.
  • Manage the monitoring and/or monitor chat to provide real-time assistance to questions received.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate with marketing consultants on content, design, and distribution of monthly PTI newsletter.
  • Work with Marketing and Customer Relations Manager to assist with special event planning and day of responsibilities.
  • Manage all customer service initiatives including the customer service award program.
  • Coordinate airport escorts for visitors and vendors.
  • Coordinate and gives airport tours.
  • Organize special holiday promotions and entertainment for passengers.
  • Manage the Airport Ambassadors program, in conjunction with the Ambassador Coordinator.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency managing corporate social media.
  • Service oriented disposition.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, Adobe

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Graduation from a four-year university preferred.
  • Previous experience in marketing, event planning, journalism, fund raising a plus.
  • Demonstrated prior experience producing written communication, marketing material and/or press releases.
