Project Manager – SUE/Survey Projects
Randstad, in partnership with our client, SAM.biz, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at SAM in Redmond, Washington.
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing budgets, resources, and the day-to-day operations of both field and office staff for multiple Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and/or Survey projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact between SAM and our clients, ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and client specifications.
- Oversee field and office staff operations, including CAD staff, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Handle logistics, scheduling, and tracking of deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
- Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
- Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings when required.
- Establish work plans and determine staffing requirements for multiple projects.
- Engage in business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct presentations to clients and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively with sub-consultants and other business partners.
- Support other operational units as needed.
- Monitor and report on financial status, including AR/WIP and billing cycles.
- Represent the company at meetings, trade shows, and professional societies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry-related experience in a professional or management capacity.
- An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopack, and the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly define tasks and deliverables.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a project team.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot issues on the go.
- Ability to meet or exceed tight deadlines while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Professional License or the ability to obtain licensure quickly is preferred.
