Product Inquiry Engineer

Temp to Hire through Randstad to start

Pay Rate: $30.00


This position serves our customers with a focus on cohesive quality from quoting through

documentation. Individual utilizes their technical background to investigate the use of/or develops use for new materials, processes, and new product concepts for Haworth.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

 Some experience within a Bill of Materials.

 Familiar with engineering layouts, with experience of CAD and 3D modeling.

 Displays the ability to communicate with dealers, suppliers, and other teams within the organization.

 Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP (SAP Preferred), Operating Macros via Microsoft Excel.

 Must be knowledgeable of applicable global standards such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and Canadian Government Test Standard (CGSB).

 Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to ten

percent of time.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

 Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent (equivalent is defined as

equivalent degree OR job-specific work experience OR combination of education and job-specific

work experience; two years job-specific work experience equals one year of formal education –

NOTE: job-specific work experience used for education equivalency cannot also be used for work

experience qualification).

 CAD or PC design experience required.

 Parametric-based systems CAD or PC design experience preferred.


WORK EXPERIENCE

 0-1 years’ experience in product engineering position.

 0-1 years’ experience in design engineering position.


SKLLS AND KNOWLEDGE

 BOM understanding and experience

 Some experience with CAD and 3D modeling.

 Displays ability to learn Haworth product lines

 Ability to participate in continuous improvement

 Establish a network to work cross-functionally

 Shows skills to manage projects through quote and documentation

 Understanding costing and pricing process in relation to GP and discounting

 Has knowledge of applicable global standards such as American National Standards Institute

(ANSI) drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and

Canadian Government Test Standard (CGSB).
