Position Title: Senior Software Developer, Applications


Location: Arlington, VA


Indev is seeking a Senior Software Developer who can support our homeland security account. We are looking for a highly motivated developer with previous experience designing and building scalable solutions using Cloud Technology, Workflow Automation Software, and DevOps.


Candidate will directly support solution design, architecture, and delivery. This role primarily consists of billable work directly supporting our homeland security customers. Looking for the ability to work independently, help research potential solutions to challenges as they occur, and work collaboratively with clients and team members to select and implement optimum resolutions. This candidate will be experienced with end-to-end development using: Cloud Development, DevOps, Access Management and Security, ServiceNow, UnQork, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Amazon API Gateway, and other related technologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Development, Cloud, DevOps, SaaS/PaaS (e.g. ServiceNow), Agile Transformation, Digital Modernization and Cybersecurity
  • Directly support solution design, architecture, and delivery of scalable solutions that address client issues.
  • Design scalable solutions based on business need.
  • Architect solutions to meet design specifications.
  • Deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Document the process and solution.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 6+ years’ experience with software development, DevOps, engineering, or related work. Demonstrated ability to Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement throughout the project lifecycle
  • Expertise in gathering and understanding requirements and translating them into actionable project plans and deliverables
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
  • Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide a quick and effective resolution
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


Nice to have’s:

  • Relevant certifications in cloud architecture or technology are a plus
  • Recent experience supporting the federal government
  • Active Public Trust Clearance


Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and be required to pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
