Responsibilities

  • Perform the following reviews and follow-up actions: Tri-Annual Reviews, aged commitment/obligation follow-up, and MORD reviews.
  • Track funding document progress from submission through certification
  • Assist with responding to USAFCENT calls for budget data to include Execution Plans, Spend Plans, and Unfunded requests.
  • Respond to short-notice USAFCENT requests for information related to current and prior year execution.
  • Prepare a detailed analysis of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned organizations, deployed and re-deployed resources and programs into a consolidated budget request.
  • Perform tasks involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding.
  • Use USAF and DoD financial systems (CRIS, GAFS, ABSS, DTS, DEAMS, IAPS, WAWF, FM Suite, DTIM, etc.) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments.
  • Use MS Office Suite (PowerPoint/Excel/etc.) to develop charts/briefings for executive/senior level presentations.
  • Use spreadsheets to manipulate data and reformat it into usable information for AFCENT financial managers and leadership.
  • Respond to short-notice USAFCENT-directed budget drills to gather, format, analyze, and interpret financial information to identify the impact of budget and policy decisions on the assigned organization.
  • Research/resolve routine and complex financial transactions causing out-of-balance conditions.
  • Provide end-of-month data/statistics to track the quantity and quality of service provided.
  • Research and resolve current and prior year-aged obligations using accepted accounting practices and tools.
  • Perform research and required follow-up to resolve aged travel obligations identified.
  • Demonstrate ability to appropriately query the financial database to perform review and analysis to ensure accuracy of input and integrity of accounting records.

Qualifications

  • Air Force Financial Systems experience (WAWF, BQ, CRIS, FMSuite, ABSS, DTS, OARS, DEAMS)
  • Familiar with Air Force accounting methods/terminology and appropriations
  • Familiar with MS Office Suite (Excel/PowerPoint/etc.)
  • 3-5 years of DoD Resource Advisor, AF FM accounting experience
  • 1-2 Air Force-specific RA experience preferred.
