Introduction: Join our team as a Construction Materials Tester Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing on various construction materials including concrete, asphalt, soils, aggregates, and others as required.
  • Conduct field and laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant standards and specifications.
  • Operate testing equipment such as compression machines, sieves, moisture meters, and nuclear density gauges.
  • Document test results accurately and prepare detailed reports for submission to project managers and clients.
  • Monitor construction sites to collect samples and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and clients.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction materials testing or a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with testing procedures and equipment used in construction materials testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
