Job Summary:


Delawie is seeking an Architectural Project Manager with demonstrated project experience for the Department of Defense (DoD). The position is full-time, on-site located in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will provide high-level project management duties from project inception through construction administration phases. The successful candidate filling this position will:


  • Demonstrate a dedicated spirit towards client satisfaction through service excellence.
  • Have strong communication skills to communicate with clients, consultants, and project team members.
  • Can navigate through several jurisdictions for project requirements and permitting.
  • Be comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to lead and mentor team of junior staff members.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with in-house Interiors Department.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop project design schedules.
  • Estimate project staffing requirements.
  • Monitor and manage project staff work loads.
  • Manages projects of all sizes and levels of complexity and provides project team leadership.


Qualifications:


  • Architectural license required.
  • 5-8 years of relevant post- education experience in design/project management in an architectural design firm, or equivalent.
  • Experience in design-build project delivery methods for the DoD, primarily for NAVFAC and IMCOM, and a strong technical competency.
  • Leadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary team, and meeting scope/schedule/budget
  • Advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and code requirements
  • Proficiency with Revit required.
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp Modeling, MS Office, MS Project, and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Effective verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
  • Experience working directly with clients.
