Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Project Manager to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This is a challenging opportunity to lead design teams on federal & military projects. Our client has a wealth of project opportunities through their multiple long-term consulting contracts for Federal clients including GSA, military, and NASA.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Defines structural or project elements and processes required to meet client needs, along with participating in and coordinating estimates and proposal/bid preparations. Helps ensure performance to contracts through shared planning and monitoring of work orders and deliverables with engineering, construction, and various other disciplines.
- Design Management: Plans and develops architectural projects of moderate complexity that significantly impact major company programs, including exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
- Team Collaboration: Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Coordinates with project management, other architects, and leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
- Quality Control: Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians. Performs quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. Performs field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to architectural plans.
- Licensure and Certification: Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances.
- Additional Responsibilities: Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program or equivalent experience. Minimum 5+ years of design experience.
- Licensure and Registration: Professional Registration Required. Registered Architect in good standing, NCARB certification is a plus or the ability to obtain architectural registration in multiple states is desired.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated collaboration with multi-discipline design teams. Excellent communications and interpersonal relationship skills. Strong architectural design and construction document development capabilities. Demonstrated Revit BIM production capability and experience. Ability and willingness to travel in the US and internationally.
- Citizen Requirement: US Citizen per client requirement.
