Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Midland, TX – Onsite


Description:

Mechanical Designer with 5-10 years of experience of Detail drafting of Static equipment like Pressure vessel, S&T Heat exchanger, Columns, Reactors, Storage tanks, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, etc. in compliance with international codes and standards, project specifications, & general specifications prevalent in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Chemicals & other associated industries.

  • Execution of oil & gas projects for the above-mentioned technologies.
  • Reviewing customer technical requirements and specifications and incorporating into project drawings.
  • Preparing Drawings & Datasheet and conduct vendor document reviews.
  • Develop / update plot plans, facility layouts, design-based procurement, and detailed engineering.
  • Preparation of engineering drawings with sufficient detail to define the equipment scope and technical requirements.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using AutoCAD.
  • Submit updated drawings for review through pre-defined document management workflow.
  • Act as the communication focal point for appropriate information/data between the vendor, client, and other disciplines.
  • Prepare data sheets for rotary equipment that comply with customer technical standards and project requirements.

Minimum proficiencies and qualifications:

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical is required.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience performing Detail drafting of Static equipment like Pressure vessel, S&T Heat exchanger, Columns, Reactors, Storage tanks, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, TEMA and other API standards. Experience with European codes would be beneficial.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) / EPCm experience is preferred.
