Position Overview:

We are hiring full-time SOC Emulation Engineers for various levels of experience, from entry to advanced. In this role, you will develop and support emulation and FPGA-based prototyping systems for our SOC projects. You will collaborate directly with architecture, design, verification, and software/firmware teams to establish and enhance emulation models for diverse applications, including functional verification, performance analysis, software/firmware bring-up, and more.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Emulation Model Development: Create and support emulation models from RTL and drive SOC bring-up on emulation platforms. Debug test failures and resolve simulation/emulation mismatches.
  • Flow Development: Develop compile and runtime flows for various emulation usage models, including functional verification, hybrid simulation, post-silicon debug, power estimation, and software/firmware enablement.
  • Capability Development: Develop and implement capabilities for running tests on emulators and assist in the bring-up process from RTL prototyping to post-silicon validation.
  • Tool Integration: Collaborate with tool vendors to define requirements and resolve tool-related issues.
  • Methodology Improvement: Contribute to the development of methodologies and automation improvements to enhance emulation efficiency and add value.


Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital logic design, CPU/SOC architecture, microarchitecture, industry-standard interfaces, and memory subsystems.
  • RTL and Verification Skills: Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and experience with verification methodologies and tools, including simulators, waveform viewers, and build/run automation.
  • Experience with Emulation Tools: Hands-on experience with Palladium, Zebu, Veloce, Protium, or HAPS. Experience with QEmu or similar software simulators is a plus.
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of C/C++ and experience in simulation acceleration using transactors or accelerated verification IP.
  • Debugging and Analysis: Experience in performance analysis and debugging techniques.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TCL is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.


Education and Experience:

  • Degrees: PhD, Master’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
