Position Overview:

The Senior Pega Developer will be responsible for the design, architecture, and development of Pega-based applications. They will lead projects and provide technical guidance to junior developers. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) tools and lead the design and development of Pega solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, performant, and maintainable Pega applications.
  • Implement best practices in Pega architecture, design, and coding.
  • Work closely with business analysts and other team members to understand the business requirements and translate them into Pega solutions.
  • Lead the technical team through project completion, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality, coding, UI and Corporate standards.
  • Ensure system capacity, performance, and failure recovery processes are in place.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required.
  • Manage the deployment of Pega updates, integrations, and new development projects.
  • Remain current on Pega technologies and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Pega systems development.
  • Proven experience in Pega systems scaling and integration.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Pega version 8.x.
  • Lead System Architect (LSA) certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Knowledge in database design and SQL
