Emerge 360 is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Specialist in Hampton, VA As the Quality Systems Specialist, you will support the administration of quality manuals, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with business center personnel on quality initiatives. This role involves the application of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions as necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Quality Management System for the assigned plant.
  • Managing the internal audit program and conducting annual internal audits per AS9100/AS13100 requirements.
  • Coordinating and supporting external audits for certification bodies, such as AS9100 and Nadcap.
  • Coordinating and supporting internal and external customer audits.
  • Reviewing and implementing quality system changes.
  • Serving as the Corrective Action Board (CAB) meeting administrator.
  • Participating in Corporate Quality meetings.
  • Supporting supplier partnerships.

Additional duties involve:

  • Driving root cause analysis on Corrective Action Requests (CARs) to reduce incoming material issues.
  • Coordinating and supporting supplier on-site visits for audits and problem-solving.
  • Providing feedback to Business Unit Supplier Quality on supplier scorecards for on-time delivery (OTD) and parts per million (PPM).
  • Supporting quality engineering (QE).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with quality management systems responsibilities OR 10 years of progressive experience in quality in a manufacturing environment, including investment casting and quality management systems responsibilities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Quality system audit experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Competent in using automated order systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to develop and use planning strategies.
