What you'll do:

Legal Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company’s legal strategy to promote and protect the company's interests.
  • Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management.
  • Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company.

Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Advise on legal aspects of the company’s financing, including assessing and advising on current and future business structures and legal entities.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and resolve any contractual disputes.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with data protection laws and other relevant regulations.

Risk Management:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
  • Provide training and support to staff on legal issues and risk management.

Litigation Management:

  • Manage and oversee any litigation involving the company.
  • Work with external counsel as necessary to represent the company in legal proceedings.
  • Oversee responses to subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and other legal actions.
  • Provide legal support for joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.


Experience you need to be successful:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of a state bar association.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience, with a significant portion in a corporate or startup environment.
  • Proven experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
