We are seeking an experienced Director of Product to lead the strategy and development of our products.
Job Summary
As the Director of Product, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing the vision for Throtle's core data & identity products. You will own our flagship identity product that enables healthcare brands and publishers to compliantly link digital marketing events to a secure identity token, enabling rich analysis and audience creation on top of Throtle's Consumer Attribute Graph or the customer's 1st party data. You'll also lead the charge for our upcoming media measurement and cloud data sharing products, working with partners like Snowflake and Databricks to enable Throtle customers to deploy their own media measurement solution in minutes instead of months.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for our data & identity products including the marketplace application, aligning with overall business goals and market demands.
- Market Research: Work with our Chief Strategy Officer to conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs. Then translate these insights into actionable product requirements and plans.
- Roadmap Development: Create and manage the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements. Prioritize product backlog based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, strategy, and sales teams to ensure a cohesive product development and launch. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to deliver the highest quality products and support are delivered on time and on budget.
- Product Development: Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, including defining user stories, setting milestones, and overseeing testing and quality assurance.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their challenges, and validate product solutions. Use this information to drive product improvements, build consensus with Strategy & Sales, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Position will require that the individual understands all regulations and laws applicable to their assigned roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and regular maintenance of policies and procedures that govern the work of assigned roles and responsibilities, including compliance with the security requirements of ePHI.
Required Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge: Understanding of digital advertising technologies, including ad servers, demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), and data analytics tools. Bonus points if you’re familiar with encrypted tokens such as DataVant, and healthcare datasets.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Experience with A/B testing, user segmentation, and performance metrics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, build consensus across multiple departments, and speak to customers in their own language.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving product initiatives from conception to launch. This is not a backseat role.We’re looking for a champion who can create alignment and then use it to execute.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5-9 years of experience in product management, specifically within data & identity products, analytics & insights, or digital advertising technologies domain. Strongly prefer experience with identity products, media measurement, or device graphs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field, or comparable life experience.
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
