As the Portfolio System Migration Manager, you will be responsible for leading the transition of portfolio accounting systems from various platforms into Addepar. You will collaborate with IT, Trading, Back Office Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure successful migrations while maintaining data integrity. This role requires strong communication skills, understanding of portfolio accounting data, and the ability to guide material projects to completion.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Management: Develop, implement, and oversee project plans for portfolio accounting system migrations, ensuring timely and successful integration. This will require a strong ability to manage competing projects, as migrations from other systems may occur simultaneously.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Back Office Operations, Client Billing, Portfolio/Composite Performance, Trading, CRM, and Systems Integration teams to facilitate migration of portfolio accounting systems and associated processes.

3. Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Lead efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data through the migration. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.

4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks or hurdles associated with the migration of data. Work with stakeholders to develop strategies to manage the data.

5. Reporting and Documentation: Create comprehensive project documentation, status reports, and post-migration analysis to communicate progress and outcome to stakeholders.

6. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to facilitate data migrations. Ensure that vendor deliverables meet expectations.


NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of industry experience with exposure to portfolio accounting systems.
  • Proven track record of successful project management, with experience in system migrations or large-scale IT projects.
  • Proficiency in Addepar or similar portfolio accounting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of investment advisory operations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
