Detailed Job Description:

  • Demonstrates leadership and facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives.
  • Communicates effectively, both formally and informally.
  • Assesses and evaluates risk to the project timelines.
  • The PM will be responsible for planning and execution of the HW upgrade project activities as per the approved timeline.
  • The PM will be responsible for coordinating with the application teams (Functional, Basis and Database), infrastructure teams (OS, Storage and Networking) and external vendors.
  • The Sr. SAP Technical PM will lead the Hardware migration of multiple SAP systems from HP Unix to Linux platform on Dell Powerflex servers.

Required:

  • Degree in IT and/or complimentary business degree.

Work Experience

  • Ability to accomplish results through others particularly by establishing relationships.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure environments, service requirements and culture.
  • Problem determination (experience in root cause analysis) and problem resolution skills.
  • At least 12 plus years of experience in Hardware migration of multiple SAP systems from HP Unix to Linux platform on Dell Powerflex servers, preferably in the health care industry.
  • Prior management experience in OS-DB migration projects.
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms to senior leaders.
  • Process skills: an understanding of process costs, ability to work with multiple technical teams and external vendors to ensure timely and successful hardware upgrades.
  • Ability to be firm but fair about the project deliverables.

Duties:

  • Manages/directs the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several non-IT business applications and disciplines.
  • Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.
  • Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
  • Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines. Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion.
  • Provide tracking, reporting, and presentation to management and users.
