Job Title: Operations Manager
Company Overview: Join a growing Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) as part of a larger, national clinical trials organization. The company has recently undergone significant investment and development to overhaul its software, and is now focused on expanding its market presence. As part of this dynamic team, you will work with developers, support staff, and sales/admin professionals to drive the product's growth.
Contract Type: 1-Year Contract with Option to Hire
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Must be local)
Schedule: 8am-5pm (Flexible, with occasional in-office presence required, typically 1x/week)
Travel: Required to attend research conferences
Compensation: $120,000 annually (~$57.69 per hour)
Role Overview: The Operations Manager will serve as a critical link between the technical team and company leadership. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of technology, ideally within the research industry, to effectively manage the day-to-day operations and support the strategic growth of the product. You will work closely with a small team of developers, a QA/support person, and a marketing/admin professional. Experience managing offshore contractors, particularly in the technology sector, is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between the leadership team and technical staff, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.
- Oversee the daily operations of the CTMS, ensuring that the software meets the needs of its users and continues to evolve.
- Manage relationships with external contractors, including a team of developers based in India.
- Support the growth of the CTMS by helping to expand its customer base and improve the software’s capabilities.
- Occasionally travel to research conferences to stay updated on industry trends and represent the company.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a tech or research-related field.
- Strong understanding of software development and management processes.
- Experience managing remote teams, particularly international contractors, is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible, remote-first environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between technical teams and senior leadership.
